For Federal contractors and employers alike, accurate annual EEO-1 reporting, is an important corporate responsibility. Additionally, Federal contractors have a further requirement to annually complete the VETS-4212 report. This training will provide information on the background, requirements, and reporting process for both the EEO-1 and VETS-4212 reporting. We will also provide some recommendations and considerations for preparing the data and reports in an efficient and timely manner. After completing this training, participants will have an understanding of the following:
- The background on the reporting requirements
- The importance of accurate and timely completion of reports
- Who is required to complete EEO-1 and VETS-4212 reports
- Efficient processes for completing the reports

The Department of Labor’s Fiscal Year 2018 (FY2018) budget proposal was released today, May 23, 2017. The budget outlines the initiatives and priorities of the new administration, and as predicted by DCI, recommends merging the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) by the end of FY2018.
The proposed budget indicates that the consolidation will provide efficiencies and oversight. Additionally, the proposed budget allots $88 million for OFCCP, a decrease of $17.3 million from Fiscal Year 2017.
